Online Resources

Besides print books, magazines and journals available on the shelves, Library collections include literally thousands of online articles, ebooks, and streaming videos

These are all directly available on computers on campus. They are also available off-campus, using the links in this guide or on the Library webpages. Off-campus, you will need a Peninsula Library Card to unlock those resources - if you don't have one yet, stop by the Circulation Desk in the Library to get one.

Services

  • Printing ($0.12/page) ; Color printing($0.25/page). Ask at front desk.
  • Black & white photocopier ($0.12/page).
  •  Librarians to help you one-on-one with research questions.
  • DVD players built-in (We have headphones!).
  • You can have books, DVDs, and videos from other Peninsula Libraries sent to Cañada College for you.

Welcome, English 165 students! 

This guide will supply you with information about finding books and articles to help you write your paper.

You will explore books, databases and Internet websites that are full of information.

You will also learn what a database is and how to use one.

Library Services

Textbooks on Reserve – Ask at the Circulation desk for textbooks that you can check out for short periods of time, usually two hours.

Computers – The library has 71 computers that do not require a log in and have no time limit. Just sit down and start!

Getting a Library Card

  • You can use any San Mateo County library card at Cañada College Library
  • With a library card you can place holds on books, CDs, DVDs and more and pick them up at Cañada College Library
