Part I: FINDING SCHOLARLY JOURNAL ARTICLE

1.  Look up at least one article related to your research subject or topic using the Gale-InfoTrac Databases or the ProQuest Biology Journals (see Articles tab above).

• Switch from “Basic” to “Advanced Search” using the tabs along the top of the screen.
• For your first source, limit results to “Full Text” and “Peer Reviewed” articles by checking their corresponding boxes. Later you may wish uncheck these boxes for a wider variety of results.
• Type in some words for the topic in which you are interested and click SEARCH. For example:
  • Asthma and Inner Cities
  • Cord Stem Cell and Research
  • Bird Flu
  • Benjamin Franklin and Electricity

Advice: Don’t type too many words; use only one to five words.

• If the requested information below is not available for any specific question, please write: N/A (Not Available).

Take some time to review several articles; you may want start a list compiling those that will be helpful for your project.  Please choose at least one article that's relevant to your topic and display its full record by clicking on the article title.  Provide the following information:

1. Title of article
2. Author(s)
3. Name of the periodical
4. Date of publication
5. Volume # and issue # (if given)
6. The beginning page of the article and the number of pages of the article
7. Write the complete citation of the article here using the citation generator.
