Evaluating Sources

Overview: 

• We can't just take information we find at face value. 

• We must examine it to ascertain its validity, accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness before using it for college level work. 

• Librarians have come up with an evaluation model called the SIFT/PICK method

• It can be used to evaluate any mode of information.
