Welcome to the Library!

The library is currently not open due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, but our librarians and staff are available and providing many services online. Please go to our homepage if you'd like to contact us.

  • The Library is on the 3rd floor of Building 9.
  • Librarians can help you find the articles you need for your assignments and help you cite your sources correctly. 
  • The library's desktop computers do not require a login and do not have a time limit.
  • The library has printers, copiers, and a book scanner
  • Group study rooms can be reserved up to one week ahead and you can meet with classmates in the library classroom.
  • Check out textbooks from the library's Course Reserves. 
  • The library is open every day except Sunday. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In summer, the library is open Mondays through Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Unfortunately, most in person library services are on hold for duration of the COVID-19 crisis. If you need electronic devices (laptops, calculators, or WiFi hotspots), ct the you can request them here. If you need a physical book or text book check with the CSM Library, which is currently doing curbside pick up by appointment, or with your local public library.

 

Library Services

Print and Electronic Resources  Find books, articles, and websites for your class assignments.

Textbooks on Reserve – Ask at the front desk. Usually only for using in the library for 2 hours.

Computers – The library has over 70 free-use computers. Just sit down and start!

Study Space – make use of tables, carrels, groups study rooms or the silent study room.

Library Cards You can use any San Mateo County library card at Cañada College Library.  Library cards available at the front desk.
